Target Audience
Candidates interested in this course must possess a SEC(K) certification with at least 4 years of
construction experience in Singapore. They are required to have a valid work permit before applying for
BCA Acknowledgement Notice.
Course Overview
Successful candidates completing this CoreTrade program will experience a significant reduction in their
levy payments. Furthermore, they will have the privilege of extending their work tenure in Singapore
from the standard 14 years to an impressive 26 years. Upon successfully passing the course, candidates
will receive a Statement of Registration, a valuable credential that satisfies specific project
requirements.
Course Objective
The objective of this course is to equip candidates with essential skills related to structural steel fitting.
Participants will learn how to conceptualize and draw their own structural project diagrams. This
encompasses a range of practical skills including gas cutting, tack welding, hydraulic punching tool
operation, and assembly. Candidates will gain proficiency in various techniques for cutting steel plates
and handling other structural materials effectively.

- Drawing of project diagrams
- Proper handling of tools and equipment and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Gas cutting and hot bending procedures
- Development of gusset plates and base plates
- Assembly of projects using gap and tack weld techniques
Course Duration
4 days of intensive training, with each day consisting of 8 hours of instruction. The course concludes
with a 0.5-day test to assess candidates’ understanding and application of the skills taught.
